Captain Playstation, I suspect they've announced to counter-attack Sony's intention of doing the same. The same question can be asked of Sony, why put a Blur-Ray if they will also offer to download videos?

why announce this right before the release of a HD DVD add on? doesnt make much sense.. spend $200 for a HD DVD player and film you will probably watch once, or spend $5 and watch the HD film once. I know what I would do.

You guys noticed that MS took the locks off watching videos from external USB drives, right? Why would anyone pay the ridiculous MS price for another hard drive when you can save your movies and videos to an inexpensive external USB drive.

Few good stuff in there, but without a bigger HD, no way this can happen. And how much will it cost btw? I bet they'll like 5 dolars for every 10 minutes of movie and they'll probably release an armo skin for the movies for about 10 bucks. Ooops. It seens I'm confusing something, lol.

Unless they release a larger hard drive you wont be downloading much HD content unless you plan on deleting older content you have purchased already to make room ;) If that had made it so you could stored it on a Usb storage device or something it would have made sense but with so little room it doesn't seem worth it

You know what else they should do, is release movies that are in theatres on the same day and just charge the same price as a movie ticket (~$10). Makes them oodles of money without all the overhead of an actual movie theatre.

Wow...I'm seriously considering not purchasing an HD-DVD add on anymore. Can't wait to watch SuperMan Returns and V for Vendetta in HD.

Itunes charges $2 for Standard Def downloads that you can't even watch in the living room. $3 is great for 720p High Def. $6 for HD movie rentals is a bit steep but damn...you can't beat the convenience.

With cable companies providing High Def DVR's the real questions is will anyone actually use this? Plus I can access hundreds of movies and shows with On Demand.

Once again MS and Sony will have to rely on exclusive TV/Movie content.

I'm with reddevil3 on the HBO shows, and here's hoping they'll get some Battlestar Galactica action since it's already made the iTunes jump. And some sort of season pass for specific shows at a discounted price would be nice (although $3 for an HD episode is fine in my book).

It would be awesome if Microsoft makes it PC/360 cross-compatible, but since MS wants to sell 360s it's probably not going to happen.

Still, a great incentive to get a 360. Sony better bring its A-game online.

$6 sounds ok for a HD movie rental I guess. $3 for a HD episode sounds great though. I want The Office, My Name Is Earl, *maybe* Lost and hopefully HBO shows on there.
