Every time I've talked to managers at EB or Gamestop (yeah, I know how reliable that is), they've said there will be Xbox games releasing well into '07.

well my sister won an xbox in a drawing contest in may last year, and we use it everyday as media player with xbmc. we'll probably use it for a couple more years...

I somehow don't foresee Microsoft exercising any sort of ingenuity in creating a super small version of the Xbox1 ( similar to the PSone and PS2 slim). They are working, however, on the Xbrick1. It is a Xbox built into an Xbox360 power supply. And no, I didn't go there.
