This WiiWare Game Sounds Like a Sex Game!!

Gameloft's got WiiWare sexy covered. Well, sexy-sounding titles at least! The publisher's MAXIMUM RISKY sounding Icchi na Oneesan Kuzushi ("Destroy The Lewd Older Sister") is hitting WiiWare this April for 800 Wii Points. The game itself is more MINIMUM RISKY — it's just another breakout clone. Rather pedestrian stuff! There's going to be some seriously letdown WiiWare users, downloading this and thinking it's got some spice. Though, we're pretty sure they're already used to letdowns when it comes to the fairer sex.

Brain Challenge Screens Are Challenging

Previously, we posted that Gameloft is bringing game Brain Challenge to Xbox LIVE Arcade this month. It features calculation exercises, puzzles and bad Mii-like matching games. This game was originally a 2006 cell phone game. Figures, as brain games are so 2006.

Brains And Bliss On XBLA Wednesday

Brain training comes to the Xbox Live Arcade this week in the form of Gameloft's creatively named Brain Challenge, 800 Microsoft points worth of brain exercises for children and adults, complete with multiplayer support for up to four players both online and off, and a special Creative Mode that allows you to relax and explore your imagination, a practice men generally relegate to the bathroom. Along with the brain games comes Bliss Island, a 400 Microsoft point game by Codemasters, which puts you in control of Hoshi the Zwooph, a strange blue creature with the power to blow clouds out of it's snout. Not just any clouds - puzzle solving clouds. Yes, this week is all about making you smarter and then letting you show off your newfound wits. Both games will be available early Wednesday morning. Gameloft Has iPhone Fever, 15 Titles Sprinting For 2008 Release

Mobile gaming? Ha! Oh wait. Our Apple zealotry and iPhone idolatry has made many of us reconsider what gaming on our cellphones means, especially in light of the demos for Spore and Super Monkey Ball shown yesterday. Those are things we might actually want. That passion will probably be more tempered for things like Bubble Bash (aka Puzzle Bobble aka Bust-A-Move aka Snood aka whatever) and the fourteen other Gameloft titles announced to be in development. We'll be eyeballs deep in multicolored gems, jewels and blocks, if the "leading developer and publisher of games for mobile phones" has any say in it by year's end.

Yes, this does mean you'll most likely be playing some Paris Hilton-branded game with your accelerometer at some point. Feel better?

Japanese Cell Phone Gaming Gets Sufficiently Sexy

Poker has never really been our game. It's good for a laugh, but I'm not the gambling type. However, a Japanese cell phone game in which one finds themselves in sexy strip poker situations with anime girls of various professions? Where do I put the 315 yen, exactly? The Gameloft published title, which Ashcraft says is loosely translated as Sexed Up Big Sister Flip Over—though he may be screwing with me—follows the simple formula of taking busty women and presenting them in various states of undress.

You'll play multiple card games against a nurse, secretary, actress, racing queen, police woman and volleyball player, all of the sexy variety, then watch with delight as they are beholden to their disrobing bets, exposing their fine washables. It's a fun sexy time. Technology is really wonderful isn't it? We've come so far.

Prince Of Persia Classic Next Week?

Australian news outlet PALGN is pegging the Gameloft-developed remake of the original Prince of Persia for Xbox Live Arcade to hit the service some time next week. Prince of Persia Classic was officially unveiled last month as a 3D recreation of the 1989 Jordan Mechner-designed platforming classic. No official word from the regular channels, but PALGN says they have word straight from Ubisoft. Besides, all Xbox-related rumors are true anyway. Go ahead, make one. It will magically come to fruition! More »

Prince Of Persia Classic Coming To XBLA

It should come as little surprise, but the original Prince of Persia is coming to Xbox Live Arcade with a new artistic spit-shine, courtesy of Ubisoft and developer Gameloft. The game was previously rumored to head to the Xbox 360 when ratings from Germany's USK and our own ESRB popped up, but today Ubisoft makes the game's existence official alongside releasing some new screens of the 2.5D remake. E306 Justify Your Game: Paris Hilton's Jewel Jam

Gameloft got their spiel out for Paris Hilton's Jewel Jam in good time, managing not to mention the dreaded B word. You know the one we mean: Bejeweled. And yes, unlike Ms Hilton, Gameloft's rep got the name of their game right.

E306: Hands-On Lumines Mobile

luminesmobile.gifWe spent a few minutes trying Gameloft's new Lumines Mobile out this afternoon and it was definitely a lot of fun to play, it's not a straight port of the PSP original but more like a sequel, with new skins and music, as well as an entirely new mode of play that'll keep you entertained even if you've put in your hours on the PSP. Lumines Mobile's Arcade Mode has twenty additional levels, boss duels, new colors and shapes and makes the whole game well worth the few bucks it costs to download, whether you loved it on the PSP or if you've never played that but just really like, um, you know, Tetris.

E306: Gameloft's The OC Mobile Game

It's more than a little embarassing to admit this, because we're not twelve and we don't watch The OC, but we sort of kind of liked playing Gameloft's demo of their OC mobile game at their booth this morning. You can play as one of the four main characters or as a new character you create, and your goal is to make yourself the most popular teenager in Newport Beach. We played for a few minutes as Ryan, in his room and in the Cohen's Kitchen, and were amused to discover that choosing to read a comic book improves your attitude but reduces your coolness. So really The OC game is just like real life high school—except of course that unlike our pixelized hero, most of you reading this never had the nerve to talk to girls back then, let alone make out with any.

Lumines Grooves Cell Phones

Gameloft is bringing Tetsuya Mizuguchi's dazzling puzzler Lumines to cell phones. The game will include 11 skins/musical tracks from the likes of Mondo Grosso and Andy Hunter. There are a total of six game modes, including an all new arcade mode that was designed specifically for mobile play. It's no longer just squares as additional shapes are present, as well as a third color. New ideas and innovation, the game is more of a sequel than the upcoming PSP version. Even if it sounds kinda like Tetris, but with better music. More »
