Spore Cracked And Torrented, Already
Well, it had to happen - Spore has hit the intertorrents. Pirates are downloading spores through the intricate series of tubes we call the internet.
It seems as though some stores in Australia have been selling advance copies of the game a few days before the official release date.
Over the weekend, a Warez group called “RELOADED” has managed to crack the copy protection on the game and now it is being downloaded by hundreds of cheapskates over bittorrent.

Video Games = Crack Cocaine
Father Raymond J. de Souza, a columnist for Canada's National Post, recently wrote a scathing exposé on the dangers of video game addiction. And in this provocative piece, de Souza explores his own troubled past with his own dark demon...known to some as Tetris.
I learned the truth about video games the hard way, and so this is the lesson I offer for free: Don't play video games. Don't own them. And for the sake of all that is good and holy, don't buy them for your children...
It only gets better...Since [deleting Tetris] I have never played another video game. It's too dangerous. Video games take what is most precious — time and thought. And they are making kids fat.

Hexic 2 and Ecco Hit Live Wednesday
Well my life is officially over. Not only does the Xbox Live Arcade get a version of Ecco the Dolphin for 400 points, complete with leaderboard support as well as enhanced graphics and sound, but also the sequel to the game I've spent the most time with on Xbox Live Arcade, Hexic 2: Electric Boogaloo! With all new pieces, new formations, and a new multiplayer battle mode, it is almost guaranteed that I will start having the hexagon nightmares again. 800 points nets you gaming's equivalent to crack cocaine this Wednesday. -

Sony Taps Hasbro For EOJ Cards
Eye of Judgment's crack factor just got kicked up a few notches as Hasbro announces an agreement with Sony to produce and distribute cards worldwide for the upcoming camera card game for the PS3. Why crack? As some of you may know, Hasbro is the parent company of one Wizards of the Coast, producers of a game called Magic the Motherf***ing Gathering (they shorten it sometimes), the game that launched a thousand CCGs and cost me thousands of dollars in the late 90's before the intervention. Mario On Crack!
Ok, so he's not actually on crack, but a headline reading "See Mario's Crack" or any other such iteration didn't sound very enticing. And I want you to be enticed! Why? Because this has got to be one of the best video game related T-shirts I've seen on Threadless in a while and I want one! But, as you know, with Threadless, every vote must be counted before a shirt can be made. There's only two days left for voting on this design, so for my sake and yours, head over to Threadless and vote for this awesome shirt titled "Keeping It Real." Besides, what's a little crack between friends? More » -

Poll: Wii Remote Strap Has 24 Percent Fail Rate?
Our polls are so far from scientific that when they finally conclude I hate to call the numbers they vomit up results. But I suppose that there could be a shred of information found in the faux statistics. More » -

Pachter: PS3 Delay, Lack of Consoles No Big Deal
Michael Pachter needs to lay off the crack. In an interview with GamesIndustry.biz, the Wedbush Morgan analyst says that Sony's delay in Europe is being done to win over North America. Win them over with what? They're only sending us 400,000 consoles. More » -

Return of the DS Lite Hinge Cracks
So I was playing Star Fox Command on my DS Lite when I noticed something that made my heart stop... a crack. Or as Samuel L. Jackson might put it, a mother-fucking hinge crack. To refresh your memories, dear readers, back when the whole hinge crack fiasco hit I checked my DS Lite very carefully and proudly said I didn't have any hinge crack issues. So heed my warning, you may think you're safe from the crack, but you're not. Go on, double check now, anyone notice new cracks? -

Mobile Games to Overtake Console Games This Year
This is crazy talk. I-play's Stephane Labrunie is trying to convince people at the Games Convention that mobile gaming, as in that crap you play on your cellphone, is going to overtake console gaming by the end of the year. More » -

New Lite Cracks Inspire Droll Repartee
With Nintendo gracefully acknowledging the Lite's hinge cracks and fixing them left and right, I felt justified in my choice of keeping my ol' reliable fatty on hand. And alas, a new crack seems to have reared its crackity head. More »
