Take A Look At Uniqlo's New MGS4 Shirts

Announced during the MGS4 party earlier today, Konami have teamed up with Japanese label Uniqlo to release a range of snazzy new MGS shirts. There are six designs to choose from, with each design coming in two colours, for a grand total of twelve shirts you can view on the internet, dream of buying then - whether due to lack of finances or lack of Japanese language skills - never buy.

Dress Like Niko Bellic

I'm not sure if this is exactly what the star of Grand Theft Auto IV is wearing in the game (well at least one of his outfits), but Game Daily did a really good job of at least finding bits of real world clothing that look like what he's wearing. The breakdown, which somehow forgets Bellic's super cool shoes, include an $800 Faconnable leather jacket and would run you and me more than $1,100.

Budget Japanese Sega Shirts (The Exchange Rate Sucks)

Sega has teamed up with Japanese clothes retailer to make, you guessed it, Sega Uniqlo shirts. There are Virtua Fighter, House of the Dead and Sonic shirts. I quite like that hedgehog one right up there. The shirts cost US ¥1,500 (US $14.63). Oh geez, just look at that exchange rate. So sad. The shirts though, they're pretty cool.

You Know You Want Official Devil May Cry Cardigans

The Devil May Cry series has been a lotta things, but masculine is not one of them. Something about all those exposed chests and red coats and wonderful haircuts. So it's poignant that the official Devil May Cry range of menswear - due to be released in Japan next month - will forgo hoodies and caps in favour of gear including a couple of exquisite cardigans and leather-pocketed polo shirts. With tiny, elegant belts attached, of course. They'll come in two styles (Dante and Nero), and at a price only the most fashion-conscious Capcom aficionado could bear to pay, with the polos priced at USD$75 and the cardigans at USD$105 (Nero) and USD$125 (Dante). Looks a lot, but for the convenience of having a belt on your shirt, it's totally worth it.

Meat Bun Chest On Impressions

Like clockwork, today a postal man came to my house, knocked on my door and delivered these Meat Buns. Hooray! Tried them both on and they so fit. Besides obvious things like that the printing is super high quality and the shirts feel delightful, blah, blah, BLAH, there were other things. Like, take a look at the shirt condoms the shirts come in.

Oh. Wait. Sorry.

Anyway, hit the jump for two more pics and zero disgusting shirt sex puns. Promise.

God of War Shirts, Heavenly Sword Boxers, Others On Their Way

Sony today revealed that they have granted licensing agreements for some of their top games with four apparel companies. The result will be a slew of t-shirts, hats, boxers, even something called "loungewear" featuring the artistic stylings from such Playstation greats as God of War, Ratchet & Clank, Resistance Fall of Man, Heavenly Sword and Little Big Planet.

I can't friggin wait to lay about in my house wearing nothing more than a pair of LittleBigPlanet whitey-tighties under my silk God of War smoking jacket while I sip cognac and pass judgment on the gaming world.

IV Gear already has their list of games up, but no product pics yet.

So excited. List of companies and silly quotes on the jump.

Made to Order Pixel Art Beanies

Reader Lukas writes to point out that a friend of sorts has started a small label for headwear that now takes orders for custom-designed hats. The site uses a pixel-like pattern for creating the custom hats which are, Lukas says, very suitable for making retro-gaming themed hats. He had them make himself a custom Space Invaders cap which set him back $70.

It might be a bit too late to buy these as presents, but that doesn't stop you from just picking one up for yourself. If you're interested hit up the site below, but make sure to contact them directly at info [ at [ idolwear.ch if you want a custom pattern.

$5 Australian Pac Man Shirt

I found this gem while shopping at a outlet Jeans West story here in Australia. It may not be the coolest gaming shirt I own, but at $5 Australian it sure is the cheapest. I just wish there were more Pac Man ghosts on the shirt.

Heelys Reveals Ugliest Game Shoe Ever

If there were a competition to make the ugliest shoes in the world. And if that competition had an entry that was so good at being ugly it was disqualified to give the other entries a chance: The Gamer would be that entry.

I can't figure out which I find more disconcerting. The sheer overwhelming fuglatude of these shoes or the fact that just don't make any sense what so ever. What the hell was going through their minds when they came up with this?

Brent: I know, let's take a pair of sneakers and slap the gutted remains of an Xbox 360 controller to the sole.

Frasier: Wow, grand slam Brent! Now, lets go roll around in the pool of money we made off of kids who like to skate on the back heels of their shoes.

I mean the complete stupidity of this idea makes me question the company's success with the Heely. Was it just pure luck? Do these guys have two buckets, one filled with shoes and the other with objects and then just pick one from each bucket and make things with them?

Foot-On New Mario Shoes

My new pair of Legacy X Nintendo 2007 shoes just hit the house. Yes, I ran out and ordered them the second Mike posted that they 400 limited run shoes were available.

I've only been wearing them for a few minutes so I can't really say how they will break in. They look quite nice and distinct up close, but mostly average from afar, which is what I like. They smell like someone emptied a can of spray paint into them, maybe two. In fact, they're right now giving me a headache, but I assume that will go away over time. The only other thing I should not is that while I ordered my shoe size, they feel slightly tight, so they may run a little smaller than normal.

While they're no replacements for my poor, worn out Space Invader shoes, they're still decent stand ins and I expect that once they're broken in they'll be fine. I particularly like the Mario and Yoshi buried under the rubber of the sole on the bottom of the shoes. Nice touch.

My Sims Meets Fashion Designers

An assortment of UK fashion designers have teamed up to create an assortment of MySims-inspired fashions to sell for charity starting next week.

Each of the creations are meant to capture the "self expression, customization, creativity and collectiability" of the My Sims world with 100 percent of the profits going to the Great Ormond Street children's hospital.

The items range from a Wii bag to a really neat t-shirt with a build in pouch to carry your DS around in.

You Too Can Wear a Kojima Pro Shirt

The Tokyo Game Show is over, but the t-shirt offers live on! That, that is a Konami Metal Gear Solid 4 TGS booth shirt worn by the Kojima Productions staffers. Not bad, eh? It says "Nice style" in Japanese on the back and has the MGS 20th Anniversary logo on the front. The shirt is available on the Konami site from October 5th to November 16th for ¥3,465 (US $30). I agree. Nice style, indeed!

Touch Me? The Cheekiest Shirt of TGS

There was an entire hall chock full of merchandise at Tokyo Game Show: dolls, figures, toys and shirt. Mostly shirts though, tons and tons of T-shirts. While I love gaming shirts, they really have to be something special to get me to buy one. Mostly because I don't have the room in my house for anymore. When I was walking the halls last week checking out the merch this black Doki Doki Majo Shinpan shirt caught my eye.

Not only was it down right bizarre, it was for a game no one in the U.S. will probably ever seen. So yes, I bought it. What I didn't buy, though, was that shirt next to it. I mean, that's a finger there sneaking up her skirt and check out those freaked out eyes.

Hey, Elites Crap Out Too

Just a reminder not to leave your Xbox 360 on all day in a plastic case. Not good for the machine! Rumors of better Elite performance aside, this must be the first conked Xbox 360 Elite I've seen. Bummer, because I quite like that sexy paint job. The platform's good fun, too. Shame about the quality.

Mario the Pusherman

I like the idea behind this t-shirt much more than the actual finished product. Maybe it's just the fact that it's printed on that bright blue shirt. I think it would look much better with a smaller design and on white. But yes, I can totally see Mario as a pusher.

Crazy Expensive Gundam Shirts

The most I've paid for a t-shirt? Probably a hundred bucks or so for a Paul Smith shirt. That's nothing! Bandai and fashion maker Mastermind have joined forces to create pricey shirts. Swarovski crystal will be hand-switched into Gundam or Zaku design, costing an estimated ¥200,000 (US $1,690). Nutty! The "cheaper" versions will use glass instead of actual crystal and retail for ¥38,000 (US $320). Nutty, too!
