Considering that we have seen actual video of this game with fake menus that are just overlays on pre-rendered scenes to show us what SE hopes the game might look like, I wouldn't really call this "game play."
For all we know this is just more fake menus on top of pre-rendered graphics, and even if it isn't, still images don't really show game play anyway."

I think people are placing too much importance on the colossus being Alexander just because it has a city on it.
The dragon/bahamut has a city on it as well, which would seem to indicate that the city thing is going to be central to the game rather than an indicator that these are the classic summons from Final Fantasy."
