    Reggie Talks Xbox 360

Dean Takahashi had a very insightful conversation with Reggie Fils-Aime following the Nintendo Marketing King's DICE keynote.

In it, Takahashi presses Rils-Aime about the importance of launch support and tried to cut through the Blue Ocean to get to the sharks.

Fils-Aime spends a bit of the time harshing on Microsoft's handling on the Xbox 360 launc (easy target) and says he would probably only pay full price for one of the 360 games, though he doesn't name it.

Then Takahashi brings up the issue of third-party developer support. He points out that for developers to make a game using the Revolution's unique controller, they will likely have to create a game that is Revolution only. He points out that a lot of companies don't like to take risks like that. Fils-Aime disagreed.

Sadly, for both the industry and gamers, I think Takahashi is right. When make a game for one system when you can make a game for three. Unfortunately, creativity is often outweighed by financial concerns.
