At a Wal-Mart in West Bend Wisconsin, a scuffle broke out among the approximately 60 people waiting in line for the store's allocation of 10 PlayStation 3 units. When the crowd found out the systems would be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis, pushing and shoving broke out, sending one system hopeful face-first into a telephone pole. Police say an ambulance had to be called to the scene.
Not bad, for a start. This puts the total up to one broken face and four BB gun injuries, and it's just after noon eastern time. We're going to have to seriously ramp it up here though if we we're gonna achieve midnight riots. We've an image to uphold here people!
Update - Seems a Wal-Mart assisant manager set out 10 chairs and had people race for them, putting the 'ass' in assistant. Hooray for stupidity!
