The upcoming issue of PC Gamer will feature a story about Supreme Commander, which Gas Powered Games is billing as the spiritual successor to real-time strategy phenom Total Annihilation.
Supreme Commander will sport bigger, badder robots and a cool overview tactical map. It sounds like the map will play a pretty big role in the game, according to one of my teethy moles.
In (the map), you'll plan your empire and the outcome of the war, at the same time as directing the smaller skirmishes with robots. It's really big on robots.
The game is being published by THQ and is due out on the PC next year.
Check out PC Gamer s August issue for more details or make your way over to GameSpy in the next couple of weeks where they promise to run a series of stories about their look at the developing game.
